A Carbon Fiber Fabric is made from thin, strong crystalline carbon filaments. The long molecular strings are bound together with carbon atoms and woven together to form a fabric. When attached to the concrete with epoxy, the Carbon Fiber Fabric and concrete become monolithic. They become one composite material that works together to gain a higher compressive strength and high load-bearing capacity.
Compared to installing rebars, the use of Carbon Fiber Fabric for adding strength or rehabilitating concrete is easier and more economical. Since it is easier to install and lightweight, you can save cost, time, and labor.
